Unit Information and History
Tropical☆Stars first appeared on THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER Passion jewelries! 001. They received their unit name during the Orange Sapphire event in Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage. The initial release of THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER Passion jewelries! 001 did not classify them as a named unit.

In-game, Tropical☆Stars has one song: Orange Sapphire. Additionally, the passion version of Susume☆Otome ～jewel parade～ sung by them features in the game as well. Orange Sapphire appeared as an event song but was later added to the player's list of playable songs.

Trivia and Fan Culture
- While Orange Sapphire is listed as their unit song, it and many other songs from the jewelries! series of albums play a role as theme song for each of the attributes (cute, cool, passion) rather than a song solely for the unit.
- Tropical☆Stars, like most jewelries! series units, consists of idols who have received their respective CM solos, usually, in order of release.
- Three out of five members (Kirari, Rika, Miria) create their own unit, Decoration, which debuted in the anime. Rika and Mika create the unit Familia Twin.
- Funny enough, many of the members have featured on a few songs together, give or take a few different idols singing in the song. Some Examples are: Watashi-iro Gift (Rika,Kirari,Miria,Mika), SUN♡FLOWER (Mio,Kirari,Mika,Shin,Sanae) and Twin☆kle★Tail (Mika, Rika).
