SideM Idol File
Reason for Becoming an Idol: I started this job just to see where it would go, but I can't say I hate it. I get to move around a lot!
Personal Motto: I make my own path!
Comments for the Future: Let me say just one thing. I've got no interest in being a half-assed idol. As long as I'm here, I'm aiming for the top! If you're gonna be my producer, you gotta understand that. I'm countin' on ya!
Comments about Unit Members: Hokuto's an annoying playboy! And Shouta's too loud! And when he's not loud, it's 'cause he's taking up half the damn couch sleeping! ...But, when it comes down to it, they deliver. I’ll admit that much.

Character Description
Touma is introduced in THE iDOLM@STER 2 as a rival idol under 961 Pro. During the events of the game, he is hot-blooded and competitive, almost coming off as an oresama character. Similar to Hibiki in her SP scenarios, he believes Kuroi's lies about 765 Pro being a shady organization and behaves rather hostile towards the idols as a result. Despite their efforts, he and his unit ultimately end up defeated by 765 Pro because of the latter's sense of unity. Upon learning of Kuroi's lies, he and his unit mates decide to leave 961 Pro. They are shown in the anime performing freelance before ultimately joining 315 Pro.
After joining the new agency, Touma retains his hot-blooded nature, but becomes considerably more cheerful and befitting of a protagonist character alongside fellow Physical idol Teru Tendo. His straightforward personality often leaves him open to teasing by his unit mates. Though talented at singing and dancing, he is rather awkward when it comes to gravure. Romantic scenes and interacting with women in general also tend to get him flustered, as evidenced in events such as SideM's White Day 2015. He cares about his fans, sometimes getting injured as a result of trying to give them a better performance.
In the Jupiter manga, it is revealed that he lives alone with his father after his mother passed away at a young age. It was also shown that he was scouted by Kuroi right after he won a vocalist contest that was hosted by Kuroi himself. He enjoys collecting figures from robot anime and is quite well-versed in the hobby, as evidenced by having to stop Shouta from throwing away the boxes from recently-bought figures. He is also skilled when it comes to cooking, to the point where Soichiro Shinonome asks if he would consider being a chef. His specialty dish is rice and curry and can often be seen making it for other idols. He also enjoys soccer, and the SideM anime reveals that he is a big fan of the Aoi twins during their pro-soccer days. He is shown to have posters of them as well as their autographs hung up in his room.
In the BRUTUS magazine collab, Kaede Takagaki calls him passionate, yet kind. Yuika Mitsumine compares him to Kogane Tsukioka; Brilliant, radiant, and the perfect center idol.
Game Discography
THE iDOLM@STER 2
As a rival from 961 Production, Touma would do anything in his strength to get the IA Awards. He defeated Ritsuko Akizuki's idol unit, "Ryuuguu Komachi" single-handedly and was able to gather a large audience, despite the fact that one of his speakers broke down when exposed to rain after the start of his performance. He would insult the idols from 765 Production, calling them "weak" and "low-leveled". He even thinks they are playing childish "pretend" games with each other.

If you finish the game having won all six awards, then you will unlock the game's True Ending. In one scene therein, Ritsuko Akizuki and the members of Ryuuguu Komachi decide to escort the Producer to the airport in a jumbo taxi, but due to Azusa's directions and some engine trouble, the group becomes stranded near the shoreline.
Ritsuko calls another cab for the Producer, but he wants to at least push the girls' taxi to the nearest gas station so they won't remain stranded themselves. Ritsuko decides to ask another man to help, but the only other man around is standing on the beach too far away for her to call out to him. When the Producer approaches the stranger, it turns out to be none other than Touma Amagase.
Though the Producer is reluctant to ask a former rival for help, Touma insists to help push the girls' taxi as there is no one else on the whole beach. Besides, Touma claims, it was the Producer who had first helped him. He explains that he had never thought of "Unity" as more than a meaningless concept before he and the rest of Jupiter were defeated by 765 Production. It was then that he realized that their unit was lacking something crucial, and it was for that reason that they disbanded and left 961 Production.
After hearing this, the Producer asks him what his next move is, as it would be a waste of talent if he and the others ended their idol careers. Touma then blurts out that things might look brighter if the Producer became Jupiter's producer, but the Producer can't hear it (or at least pretends not to?) over the sound of the surf, and Touma doesn't dare repeat it.
It is at this point that Ritsuko and the other girls come looking for the Producer and find him chatting with Touma. Though they regard Touma with suspicion at first, they hurriedly insist that the Producer catch his taxi to the airport. The Producer thanks everyone, giving special thanks to Touma, and is off. It is assumed, though not confirmed, that the girls agree to allow Touma to push their beleaguered cab to a gas station.

THE iDOLM@STER SHINY FESTA
Touma and the fellow members of Jupiter appear in SHINY FESTA, as well. They are rivals to the girls from 765 PRO again, but they play the largest part in the Honey Sound storyline. Touma antagonizes Haruka Amami, Chihaya Kisaragi, Azusa Miura and Ritsuko Akizuki by putting on a big flashy show during a rehearsal. Thinking he has made the girls completely overwhelmed, he becomes overconfident and smug. After the 765 idols put on a winning show, the boy can be seen scowling at his loss.
He appears as an SSS rank rival in the EXPERT difficulty of the STAR OF FESTA mode for Honey Sound, Groovy Tune, and Funky Note. His Name Card is given to the player upon defeating him, adding 100 points to the player's score.
THE iDOLM@STER SideM
Touma is still as part of Jupiter, and he is featured in the game as part of the Physical category. He also makes appearances at these Events:

Other Media Discography
THE iDOLM@STER (anime)
Touma first appeared in the second episode of THE iDOLM@STER anime as a passerby who Haruka bumped into. He scolded her for not looking where she's going. He then reappeared with the other two members of Jupiter in the tenth episode as a special guest unit in "The Big Talent Agency Sports Competition".
In the second half of the show, Touma and the other members of Jupiter are recurring characters, and serve as rivals to the 765 Pro idols. As in the game, Touma is very hostile to Producer and the girls because he believes Kuroi's lies about them. With Kuroi's help, Jupiter covers a magazine shoot and replaces 765's cover in Episode 14. He also nearly replaced Hibiki Ganaha on her animal television show in Episode 16.
By Episode 20, Touma, Hokuto Ijuuin and Shouta Mitarai are fed up with Kuroi's tricks and decide to leave 961 Production. They can be seen performing afterwards in Episode 25, currently as freelance idols.
