THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Self-Introduction

"Not everyone can have their dreams come true, Producer-san… But you'll let me bask in the spotlight again? I see… If you have that much confidence, I might as well… This is my last chance… This time, I'm betting it all on you…"

Character Description

Toko is a 25-year-old woman from Oita. Toko was an idol in the past and was passed around from producer to producer, being told she lacked the talent to succeed. Feeling defeated she quit the industry and began work as a waitress, leaving her idol dreams behind. According to her first Starlight Stage Memorial commu, Producer first meets Toko while at the café she worked at, impressed by her vocal projection, the producer continues to come back almost daily to recruit her. However, each time Toko turned the producer down telling them that the idol life was behind her. The producer did not give up in the efforts to recruit her and told her she did not fail because she lacked talent, but because she lacked a producer that could help her shine. Curious, Toko is interested in the possibility the producer sees in her, and finally agrees to take a chance at being an idol once more.

As she works alongside the producer, she remains a bit self-conscious about her abilities and feels like she still might not have the talent to reach the top. Despite this she tries every day to keep moving forward, challenging herself to live for the future and quit living in the past. As an idol that knows what is like to fail, Toko is seen as one of the hardest-working girls in the production. Her tenacity has made her a role model and older sister figure to the younger idols in the production. Seen as a late-bloomer, Toko thinks she can be a handful sometimes but is nonetheless always grateful to the producer.

As an adult idol, Toko is close friends with Rumi and Miyu Mifune.

Trivia

Toko has a large collection of bath salts at home.
Toko is one of three Oita idols in Cinderella Girls. The other two are Aoi Shuto and Misaki Etou. Coincidentally, Toko is the only Cool Oita idol.
- All three also form an official unit named Big Separate Three (ビッグセパレートスリー, Biggu Separeeto Surii), whose name is a pun on the prefecture's name Ōita (大分, Ōita), in which 大 means big (大きい, ōkī) and 分 means separate (分ける, wakeru).
She shares the same birthday with Chris Koron.
