THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Self-Introduction

"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Producer-sama. My name is Seika Suzumiya. As part of our introductions, I humbly request that you listen to my violin. My father bought it for me, and my mother taught me, so it's my pride and joy…♪"

Character Description

The producer first meets Seika at a CD shop. Immediately, he notices her very elegant demeanor. The Producer asks her what she’s listening to, and Seika tells him she’s listening to Beethoven’s violin concerto, asking him to also give it a listen. He obliges, and Seika asks if he liked it, saying she really enjoys it. She comments on how while the works of Mozart and Bach are easy to listen to, she loves the elegance of the Beethoven piece. The Producer comments that she looked quite elegant herself while listening to it. She’s surprised at the praise, and the Producer asks her if she wants to be an idol. She’s hesitant at first, since they barely know each other, inviting the Producer to an upcoming violin recital she’s performing at. He attends, and is charmed by Seika’s musical performance. Afterwards, they meet up again, and confident the Producer knows a little bit more about her now, she decides to accept the Producer’s invitation into the world of idols.

Seika is an elegant, polite and refined young lady who’s currently attending university. She’s a good-natured and somewhat innocent girl, and while she has an air of nobility about her, she doesn’t look down on others and is a very sociable and kind person. Seika’s family is decently well-off; she’s somewhat unfamiliar with normal life, but to much less of a degree than other idols, being inexperienced with things like fancy parties. Seika is well aware of her sheltered life and is always trying to expand her knowledge.

One of Seika’s most notable traits is the fact she’s a violinist. She’s a very talented player, able to improvise pieces on the fly, and she has a deep love and respect for classical music, always trying to show it off and get her fans interested in it when she can. Seika is so dedicated to her art of violin that she even went abroad to study in Vienna for a bit. While she’s extremely talented as a violinist, she actually struggled with dance and singing lessons when she first became and idol because she had pretty much zero experience. While she’s fond of classical music, she doesn’t look down on other types of music. Since becoming an idol she’s made more of an effort to experience other types of music and even became quite fond of rock and playing bass guitar when she was part of a band for an event.

Seikas family consists of her, her parents and a younger sister. Seikas father was the one who gifted Seika her first violin, and her mother was the one who taught her how to play it. At first, her parents were confused by her decision to become an idol, but have begun to support her wholeheartedly. Seika’s younger sister in particular greatly looks up to her sister and has even started to learn violin to follow in her sister’s footsteps.

Because of her relationship with her little sister, Seika has become a great older sister figure to many of the younger idols in the production, and they look up to her for her grace and elegance. Seikas most notable relationships are that with Kotoka Saionji and Yukari Mizumoto, the three of them all playing instruments. The three of them are joined at the hip and are always hanging out with one another and experiencing new things together, they form the unit Noble Celebrity.
