Character Description
A charismatic and flirty woman from Tokyo, Sarina takes great pride in her body and image. She initially showed interest in being a gravure idol, and excels during photoshoots. Because she wanted to be an idol that focused on modeling, when the Producer asked her if she was interested in other idol activities, such as singing and dancing, Sarina was surprised. She told him she would consider it once she became an idol.
Because of her tendency to flirt, Sarina enjoys to tease the Producer by accusing him of looking at her chest. Sarina takes great care of her body and works hard to keep herself attractive. She views image as an important part of being an idol. She does however wonder if her hair is too thick even though she loves her long hair.
Outside of her coy nature, Sarina is considered one of the voices of reason for many of the other idols. Others find her largely helpful, and she often takes on a big sister role. This is largely shown through her interactions with her unit Blue Napoleon (Haruna, Mizuki, Hina, and Chie). Outside of Blue Napoleon, Sarina is great friends with Seira and the two are a unit called Blue Mariner.

- Sarina shares the same birthday with Kirari Moroboshi and Jiro Yamashita.
- Sarina is currently the only unvoiced Blue Napoleon member.
- Up until the 8th Cinderella Girl Election, Sarina never ranked in the Top 50 of any elections (or in the case of the First Election, Top 30).
- On May 1, 2022, the official Starlight Stage Twitter account posted the Tourism Ambassador illustration of 5 of the 9 Kanagawa idols of Cinderella Girls, which erroneously referred to Kumiko Matsuyama as "Sarina Matsumoto of Kanagawa" on one of the tags, sparking protests from both idols' fans. The official account has since posted an apology for the mistake and reposted the illustration with the proper tag "Kumiko Matsuyama of Kanagawa".
Fan Culture
- Sarina is sometimes grouped with Yukino Aihara and Ayuna Hamakawa, due to their similar age and bust size (22 and 92, respectively).
- Following the aforementioned "Sarina Matsumoto of Kanagawa" incident, fans of both idols have made up a fan duo of Sarina and Kumiko
