Following right behind her beloved older sister Mika, Rika enters the world of idols. She borrows her sister's clothes so she can imitate her fashion and be a "little charisma gal". Rika also seems to be overreaching trying to catch up with her sister, as her idol outfits expose as much as Mika's.

Character Description

Rika Jougasaki is the younger of the Jougasaki sisters. She enjoys playing around and became an idol to be like her sister, Mika Jougasaki, who she admires quite a bit. Like Mika, she is involved in the Gal subculture. However, she considereably more energetic than her sister. She loves to collect bugs and stickers, and will occasionally threaten to bite the Producer if he neglects her. She sometimes gets on Mika’s nerves, but she really doesn't mean it most of the time. Rika is so adamant about doing nothing wrong in the ad-lib challenge while on a radio skit, that she momentarily gets taken off the air, forced to give an apology afterwards, and redo the skit with a version Staff-san wrote. Her sentences are always punctuated with a white star, ☆.

Trivia

• Rika is voiced as of April 18th, 2012 through THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 005 Jougasaki Rika.
• The sister's cards often reference each other: Rika's first awakaned Rare has her dressed as a lion, while Mika's is a lion tamer, and one of Mika's S Rare cards shows she has a cell phone strap with Rika on it while one of Rika's awakened S Rare cards has a plushie of Mika. In addition, Rika uses ☆ (a white star) in a lot of her lines while Mika uses a black star. In certain events, they are a rival unit called "Familia Twin".
• As stated by Mika, Rika's longest-running temper tantrum lasted 2 days and 13 hours.
• Rika is currently one of the two 12-year-old idols in Cinderella Girls (alongside Haru Yuuki) who is not a part of Little Marching Band Girls, and also the only 12-year-old idol not to be a part of U149's Third Entertainment Divison (perhaps due to her height being exactly 149cm and her refusal to be associated with "childish things", which played an essential part in the seventeenth episode of the anime). She does, however, make occasional appearances in the U149 manga.
• She shares the same birthday with Tsubasa Ibuki.
• In her [DONDOKO Rhythm] SR+ (a promo card in collaboration with Taiko no Tatsujin), Rika is playing Onegai! Cinderella on Hard difficulty.

Fan Culture

• Because Rika excitedly finds a beetle when her first card's affection is maxed, fans often portray her as loving beetles. One of her S Rares even features a stuffed beetle. It has since become canon, although as Mika finds out, her love of beetles does not extend to cockroaches.
