New Wave is an idol unit that appears in THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls and THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage. The unit debuted on August 14, 2012, and consists of the idols Sakura Muramatsu, Izumi Ohishi, and Ako Tsuchiya.
History
In their idol debut during the "Rookie Idol Produce" event, Sakura Muramatsu, Izumi Ohishi, and Ako Tsuchiya were all produced under the name "New Wave". Much like the 876 Production unit Dearly Stars, this trio proved to be practically inseparable. They go to the same school and are canonically friends with each other. Many of their initial cards, event appearances, and other appearances in the official manga would feature all three members and it wasn't until recent card sets that they would take place in events alone. In their appearances, their costumes have always corresponded with each other when together.
