HYR is a unit that appeared on the first CD of THE IDOLM@STER MASTERPIECE series of CDs. The name is derived from its three members - Haruka Amami, Yukiho Hagiwara, and Ritsuko Akizuki.
History
HYR is a unit created for the first ever THE iDOLM@STER CD. Similarly split, it is a friendly unit to ACM and IYAM which are both made up of idols who appeared in the arcade game. Due to this unit debuting the series into the music industry, School Wear, the costume used in the cover of their CD, was made into DLC for the idols for the Xbox 360 game. This costume would also appear in Live For You! and SP.

- THE iDOLM@STER (Arcade) - Buying their debut CD would give the purchaser a special arcade ID card.
- THE iDOLM@STER (Xbox 360) - The costume "School Wear" was added into the video game.
- THE iDOLM@STER Live for You! - Their costume was added into the video game.
- THE iDOLM@STER SP - Their costume was added via DLC and was also a pre-order bonus.

- THE iDOLM@STER novels - The second novelization features the idol unit Proro, also made up of Haruka, Yukiho, and Ritsuko. However, they are considered a different unit with a significant difference in background.
- THE IDOLM@STER BEST ALBUM MASTER OF MASTER - The three girls are featured, singing a M@STER VERSION of shiny smile, a song found in disc 2 of the album.
- THE IDOLM@STER PERFECT IDOL 03 - The song Kimi no Mama de is sung by Haruka, Yukiho, and Ritsuko, although it does not officially feature them as this unit.
